Massage & Modalities
Bodywork comes in many different forms and has been a part of natural healing techniques for thousands of years!
From Ancient Egypt to Japan and beyond therapies like massage, myofascial release, reflexology and more have been helping humans and animals feel their best.
Today, we are now able to scientifically study many of these modalities with really amazing discoveries.
For instance, Myofascial restrictions have now been recorded being released under the skin of a human with finger pressure. These spider web looking connections can clump together becoming entangled and restricted. Fascia runs throughout the entire body, intertwining within muscles and around organs. It is what holds the body together and even sections off muscles and organs. It is vital for the fascial system to be well hydrated and free from restrictions to glide properly. Since it is connecting to everything in the body, one area of restriction affects another area.
This is where bodywork comes in and can have an affect on finding these restrictions and releasing them through massage, myofascial release, stretching exercises and more. I encourage you to look into the many forms bodywork can take and try them for yourself. There’s no better way to know how affective it is then to try it yourself! It’s not just a “spa” day. It can truly transform your life if you deal with pain and tightness in your body and if you don’t deal with pain it’s a great preventative.
But healing isn’t only physical.
Just as fascia connects the entire body, emotional patterns and life experiences can create restrictions in the heart and nervous system for people and horses alike. True wellness supports the whole being — body, mind, and spirit.
That’s why I’m honored to share Wisdom Through Horses™, a holistic, equine-partnered youth development program blending the transformative wisdom of horses, the intelligence of the heart and body, and the power of presence.
Today’s youth are facing unprecedented levels of anxiety, self-doubt, and disconnection from their inner strength. This program nurtures self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and authentic connection through experiential learning grounded in the natural partnership between humans, horses, and the living world around them.
Whether through hands-on bodywork or equine-partnered experiences, the goal is the same: helping individuals reconnect, release restrictions, and step back into alignment with their true strength and wisdom.

Picture above shows restrictions under the skin of a horse that also has PPID. This conditions slows the recovery time and can cause distinct restrictions like this. With an appropriate amount of rest combined with massage and rehabilitative exercises and stretches the restrictions loosen, healthy blood flow is restored to the tissue and it can begin to fill in again and repair.
